This project was inspired by developments on bioplastics made of coffee grounds. The CMF was carefully curated to not only match aesthetically, but to be entirely biodegradable.
Process

The longest aspect of this project was the form development. The cup was to be foldable, yet be able to stand on its own when opened and still be comfortable to hold. There also had to be enough space for the drip coffee cup inside, and a seal to prevent the grounds from being exposed to air.
The graphics were inspired by an Indonesian cafe chain, Common Grounds. Since a project like this doesn't really exist in the market, a short instruction set was included, as well as recycling and biodegradable symbols to highlight the sustainability aspect of this project.
